Hi all

Just a little bit of advice please, l am a plumber and l went to a job this evening , l was working on a toilet cistern with my hand inside the water. l then noticed a needle/syringe floating around in the water where my hands were. l have a few minor cuts on my hands, l didnt notice the needle stick in my hand so l dont think it did. My concern is whether the needle could infect the water enough to pass infection through a cut in my hand. Im hoping there is enough chlorine in the water to kill any infection it looked like the needle had been in there a while.

Thanks

Go get some blood work drawn for common diseases you might catch from exposure to an unknown syringe. It is unlikely that there might be something still on the syringe that could be passed through the water, but better safe than sorry.

Next time, wear rubber gloves.

Go to your local heath department and find out everything you can. You may need to get a blood test to make sure you're ok.

To be safe take the needle to the hospital and have it checked out.Even if its just rusty.Be safe not sorry !
