She is now in Denver permanently but she is running low and is scared her company is insurance wo not kick in before the medication is done. And it costs too much for an insurance plan to get for just a month sowe're are basically looking on how to refill her medication, A.S.A.P.

if she goes a month without insurance, the new insurance will call it a preexisting condition and not cover it at all. best bet is to get insurance for one month. good luck.

Most doctors will give samples ALWAYS ASK FOR THEM!
Also Most group Insurances will take pre existing dieases! Call & ask ..why go thru the stress of not knowing all this?? She is making herself sick by not knowing! All it takes is a phone call & really from a personal stand point most insurances WANT u well! so they just might pay for the drugs just to keep it continuing & her healthy
Also Walmart & alot of other drug stores have ''Help'' plans that wo not cost much

If she can not refill her medication u could probably try a free-clinic or maybe a county ER. A lot of times there is money there for people who cannot afford it & more hospitals will have an in-house pharmacy. You might call her PCP & find out if there is someone he can recommend in Denver for her to talk to. Has she considered Medicare/caid? Also, some pharmacies r willing to give a couple days worth of medication as long as she is been to that pharmacy before until she can get to the doctor. l am not sure how insulin would work though.

Basically, l would highly recommend going to a free clinic & seeing about some free samples. No one is going to let her go without medication if it is completely dire.

She may have to pay out of pocket for the medication if she does not qualify for the low income programs, but that will certainly be less expensive than paying for insurance for a month or if she becomes severely sick as a result of not having the medication.

It is not ideal, but maybe pay the electric bill late to be able to get the medication if her condition is that severe.

Also, like the other person said, many pharmacies have programs to get prescriptions less expensively. Even if u have insurance, u can get on these programs. l would speak with a pharmacist or doctor about her condition because she could wind up in a diabetic coma if she does not have insulin.
