Most foods have some sort of carbs in them. Meat (without any kind of steak sauce, barbecue sauce, etc.) is considered free, becuase it has no carbs. Starchy vegetables, such as potatoes, corn, pastas & most beans contain alot of carbs, as do any foods with alot of sugar in them. You do not have to eliminate them completely, just cut down. l limit my carbs to about 75g per meal, or less if l want to have the occasional ice cream treat or something for dessert. Always check the labels of the foods u r going to eat if u r unsure. Check the serving size, as well as total carbohydrates & sugar totals. Good luck, & do not completely eliminate everything good. And a little advice: Give yourself a treat once in awhile or u will go nuts & wo not be able to keep to the diet! Follow any instructions ur doctor gives, & if u have any questions about acceptable foods, contact ur doctor or a nutritionist! Hope this helps, & good luck!

Almost all foods have carbs. You need to look at the nutritional information on the packages of foods when you buy them to be able to make informed food choices. There are carb free foods such as all veggies, most cheeses, and meats, and sugar-free jello. Talk to your diabetes educator and your nutritionist to be put on a ''diabetic diet'' Good luck!

You do not want to Cut All carbs These r needed to also fuel the body If u go without u can end up fatigued & no energy You do however want to cut down men should have 35 to 40 a meal 20 to 25 a snack 3 meals a day 2 snacks a day woman should have 30 a meal & 15 a snack
All foods have carbs You can go to sparkpages.com & join free & post what u eat each day & it will tell u how much carbs fat & protein is in each food You can also read on the packages
A good thing to do is to google diabetic education & the name of ur city & state & find a diabetic class in ur area that is what l done when l discovered l was diabetic & it was a Huge help & it is free,. Most hospitals offer them as do some health departments Also do some google searches for diabetic forums & support groups there is a great one at Spark pages.
