He sorta saved some of his pills from last time he got them filled [every two months he had to go in and get it refilled and that costed us 100 dollars each time to see the doctor] but he started on his pills again

medication and diet will keep his blood sugar under control. there isnt going to be anything as simple as cinnamon that will do it im afraid lol. he needs to take his meds and watch his carbs at meals. drinking water and exercise will help as well. type 1 or type 2?

l heard that cinnamon will help.so will exercise. Also he should never drink anything that has any sugar in it, no juice, no pop, only use equal or something similar.

l recently read in a book all about Vinegar remedies and for diabetic is says apple cider vinegar, cinnamon and honey made into a tea should help with diabetes- do not know why as honey is high in sugar?

A brisk walk beforehand might help, but if he is on meds it might bring his blood glucose TOO low. If they give him a blood test and take his license away from the results, it is probably because his control is poor, and it is best that he not drive because he could easily get into an accident and kill himself and others. He might be able to get his license back if he shows improvement in his control.

My husband is also diabetic, & he is allowed to eat ony 60 grams of carbs per meal (check the labels). They do not carry over (like if u only eat 40 grams for lunch, u do not get to have 80 at supper). If ur dad sticks with a good diet tomorrow, like if he has a bowl of cereal, a piece of fruit, & coffee with sweetner for breakfast, & for lunch has a grilled chicken sandwich, a small salad with lowfat dressing, & a small fries, his blood sugar should be stable. He should also see a nutritionist & learn how to manage his blood sugar--most insurance companies will cover it--and if ur family is income is that low, ur state may cover insurance for ur family (at least the kids). Without good management, he could possibly pass out while driving & harm others.
