l am a Diabetic, and l take Insulin Shots... l dont mind the shots, but l just hate taking shots everytime l eat. l am 16 and growing and eat like a cow, but im not fat... So l dont wanna take shots every 30 mins...How can l help myself? Please reply. Thank You

You just have to control your blood sugar by any means possible.
l know.it is REALLY hard.

Hi l see where u r coming from l am diabetic also l have had it since l was 9 years old. l take one to two pills a day it is called Metformin & sometimes called Glucophage. They r not big & they keep my sugar from rising. The last time my sugar was high was when l went sugar high at my friends birthday so all l did was take half of one of those pills & later l felt fine l hoped this helped you. Another reason l do take the pills is becuase l am insulin resistant & insulin does not work for some wierd reason. l hope u the best of luck with ur diabetes & dont worry ur not alone when it comes to being young & having diabetes

Im 13, ive had diabetes all my life.
Its horrible, everytime you have a soda you have to take a shot.
Its bad, it sucks, get used to it.
You dont wanna end up turning blind just because you dont wanna give insulin.
If you think your taking too much, try consulting your endrocornalogist.
you may have to change insulins and dosages.

Might be if u get on a good diabetic diet u wo not need to worry so much about insulin control. Another possibility s getting a pump that will deliver insulin to ur system when u need it. Ask ur doctor about it & see if he or she will order one for you.

Got a good diabetic diet site here that may help u find a good meal plan that wo not elevate sugars so much. Also giving u the site for a lot more information on diabetes. Only thing u need do is ''join the site'' & give ur email address. Click off on the newsletter offer if u do not want to get it & then pick a subject that interests u & go for it.

You should eat protein if you dont want to take shots as often.
Protein= No carbs.
