l was dignosed with over active thyroid on Easter.l lost weight, was over anxious... the whole thing... (l have been a diabetic for 35 years, type 1) loved the weight loss... but now ... apparently it was so over active that l killed it...l am now under active.... my blood results were 19, dr. said 2 is normal.. he decreased my over active med to 1 instead of 5 and l have to waite till sept. to see if this ''perks it up'' . does anyone have any help with this under active thyroid... my blood sugars drop instantly, l m swelled and fat and just feel yucky.... dr says to waite till sept to see where we are...... Any words of wisdom will be appreaciated!!!!

l think you need to go over to http://diabetes.com or http://thyroid.com and talk to some of my other friends over there to get your . Quite a few have both diagnosis and have quite a time controlling them.
One endocrine problem usually gets to be more than one over time. Do not know why and these two seem especially hard on type 1 peoples.
