l was told the ideal A1C was as close to 6.0 as possible, and while l am no doctor, it definitely sounds good to me! =)

An A1C test, also known as a glycated hemoglobin test, is not used for diagnosing prediabetes or diabetes. Instead, it gauges how well you're managing ur diabetes.

An A1c of 6.6 is not terrible but it is not great either, losing a few lbs will help and lowering the amount of carbs, in your meals will also help along with more exercise.

Most important....Your diabetic and it is not going away so please learn about the disease. Set your A1c goal for 6.0 or better, achieve it and you will lead a very normal life with some restrictions.
