Foods high in protein are good; also foods that contain a high level of iron; your doctor might recommend an iron pill to offset your anemia.

Anemic.. Two types r heme & non-heme. Heme iron comes from animal sources (meat, fish, poultry). Non-heme iron comes from plantt sources (legumes, dried fruits, whole grains, fortified cereals).
SOURCES. Organ meats esp. liver r rich sources of iron. Pork liver is richest source. Other sources: Iron-rich foods such as green leafy vegetables (spinach, mustard leaves, etc), enriched/ iron fortified foods, whole grains, cereals contaaining bran, seafoods & seaweeds, red meat & egg yolk.
