they are set off by fatty foods, so you should be ok with what you have said.

l have had gallstones for 30 years & cannot eat spicy food, fatty food, dairy product including cheese as its very high in fat. l do eat bits of everything but have to be very careful, l have just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes so l have to cut down on all fatty foods. With gallstones there is usually one thing that sets them off & with me its spicy foods. If u stick to a healthy eating plan u will be ok,chicken, fish, oatcakes, fruit veg, beans, pasta but watch the cheese sauces. semi skimmed milk for ur tea. Gallstones is high cholesterol in the gall balder

All of these are fine in my experience but l note some respondents specifying no spicy food. For me, it is just fatty food. l also find digestive enzyme pills (Pancreatin w/Lipase etc.) from Holland & Barrett help me to cope with food.
You will feel better once your gall bladder has settled back down. You should avoid surgery if possible although, for most people, the operation is a simple, safe one.
Take it easy, hope you feel better.
