If you drink pop only drink diet. Try drinks like crystal light or water. Cut back on bread products and fruit. Avoid fruit juices. Eat foods like potatoes, oranges, grapes and apples, etc in moderation. Vegetables are usually great except for potatoes and sweet potatoes. Avoid candy even if it says sugar free it is not carb free which turns to sugar as soon as you eat it. Hope this helps.

Exercise can lower ur blood sugar levels & keep them lower into the following day. An exercise routine helps ur muscles to use the sugar in the blood & lowers levels. Diet changes will allow u to control ur Blood Sugar level & keep them down but if they r already up, eating anything will not bring them down. l do not always get the exercise l would like, because of my work schedule, but when l do my glucose levels r more stable & managable. l know l need work on that.
