who told u that? im a diabetic and l eat egss.i also use egg beaters but thats just b/c they are a bit healthier . but the 20 years i've been a diabetic i've never been told not to eat eggs

eggs are fine in moderation. It is mostly the yolk which is of concern, they contain the fat and cholesterol. If you like eggs, use more egg whites than whole eggs, like 1 whole egg and the white of one instead of 2 whole eggs, or the egg beater type products.

This may be an urban legend type thing. However if the person has colestoral problems they may have been told to limit eggs for that reason and some diabetics do have other health problems that make cholestopralcontrola challenge especially those who have become Type I l diabetic related to overweight. For the average diabetic however eggs can be a good source of easily assimilated protein.

Eggs are one of the best foods you can eat either with or without diabetes. l eat a LOT of eggs and have excellent blood sugar control and very low cholesterol. It is carbohydrates that will kill you.

Eat the egg, it is fine and you would need the protein.

l have diabetes and high cholesterol, so l cant eat eggs l usually get egg beaters since they are healthier for me, but if you are a diabetic without cholesterol issues eggs are okay to eat, great source of protein

Eggs r a perfect food for diabetics. No carbohydrates, plenty of protein, lots of vitamins A & D. Here is something for all of you. Eating dietary cholesterol will have no effect on ur blood lipid levels. The yokes r better for u than the whites. For those who eat egg beaters, they contain oxidized cholesterol which will cause inflammation leading to increased blood lipids required to repair the damage. Also note that dietary cholesterol is not the same as LDL/HDL. LDL & HDL r lipoproteins that r required to transport cholesterol in the blood. In fact, if u do not eat enough cholesterol ur body thinks u r in some kind of deprived or starvation state & creates a type of LDL that is damaging to the arteries much the same as oxidized cholesterol or rancid vegetable oils.
