that is on the high side, you need to go to the dr and have a blood test and be dx. plus it depends on what you ate. normal is around 90-110 even when you eat.

It is high, but what did you eat. Was there alot of carbs in the meal? Have you been diagnosed as a diabetic? l assume you have since you checked your glucose level. Curb your diet and start exercising if you do not already to naturally lower your glucose level.

If you took it directly after eating, NO, this is normal. After eating, it should raise some. If it goes over 190, then you may have a problem. Mine usually raises to 189 after eating. Wait 3 hours and take it again. It should be back down to normal. If not, call you doctor tomorrow and get it checked out. Your meds may need to be changed,

l have gestational diabetes incase you dont know what that is, pregnant women get in the last half of pregnancy, anyways l do know that for me my glucose level should be below 120 two hours after eating, and 140 an hour after eating. so l guess it depends on how long after you ate did you check your blood.

No, not really, if you went over 200 or if it was high in the morning you should be concerned. It also depends on what you eat as well. l believe if this was taken directly after you eat, you should not be concerned. Wait a few hours and re-test yourself. You have to give yourself time for the insulin to work-Especially if it is slow acting insulin.

It is on the higher side. It would help to know what you had eaten and how soon after eating that you tested. Was it one hour or two??

If concerned with diabetes, change your diet to low carb and add in some exercise.

The reading is high no matter how soon after eating u sampled u blood. The result has more impact that later after eating that u took the sample. You may not have any point of reference for the reading. So l recommend u visit my blog site & print off the Blood Glucose Blood Leve Chart. The chart relates HbA1C & daily finger prick test results. The chart also translates readings for USA to Canadian. Study the chart to know where u are.

l also recommend a complete physical so u will have baseline for ur overall health.

Best Wishes.

Test 2 hours after eating.
