She started having seizures when she was 14, she is now 16. They can not find anything neurological. Sometimes they seem to come on if she has not eaten alot, sometimes they may not. Just trying to figure it out, 90 seemed to be kinda high to me after fasting for so long.

When taking a fasting blood sugar test it should not be above 100. So, 90 should be perfectly normal.

l think that is normal. You could discuss it with your Dr., but l would say it is normal. Your body regulates blood sugar, so if healthy, it will try to keep it from going too low.

My nephew has juvenile diabetes and 100 is normal. 90 is nothing to worry about.
Seizures can be brought on by repressed emotions. Why is she fasting? A 16 yr old can sleep for as many hours and not have seizures. Please fill in some blanks, Mom.

l just had a test and l was 103. They said l was pre-diabetic. Anything over 125 was diabetic and anything under 100 was perfect.
So l would assume shes perfect!!

Fasting blood sugars for diabetics should be 80 to 120 so 90 is good.

One more thought.a non-diabetic is blood sugar never strays to far from 85 - hardly ever - regardless of food, fasting, exercise, etc. There are cases when it does, but not too often. So, a non-diabetics fasting blood sugar should not really go lower the longer you go without food, unless there are other health issues at play.
